It is believed that Baba Balak Nath ji was born at the time of the birth of Shuk Dev, the son of legendary Muni Dev Vyas. When Lord Sage was born, 84 Siddhas were born at different places. Baba Balak Nath was the highest among all of them. Baba Balak Nath was a disciple of Guru Dattatreya.

The time of 84 Siddhas is believed to be between eighth to 12th century, it is believed that 84 Siddhas went to Bharmaur during the reign of King Sahilvarman of Chamba which is of tenth century. The place where all these Siddhas stayed is still famous as Bharmaur Chaurasi. In the 9th century only, the words of Sarhpa, Shahpa, Luipa etc. are found in Nakshahad literature.

There is a belief about Babaji’s temple that whatever the devotee wishes for here, it is surely fulfilled. Babaji fulfills the wishes of his devotees, so devotees from all over the world come to Babaji’s temple to seek his darshan and blessings.

There are many famous pilgrimage sites on the holy land of Himachal Pradesh. Among them, Baba Balkanath Siddha Dhamdiot Siddha is the Divine Seat of Northern India. The sacred cave of Baba Balakanathji is established on the beautiful peak of Dhaulagiri mountain in Hamirpur district. Lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad visit Baba Balak Nath every year for the blessings of Babaji.

Baba Balak Nath Ji Ka Prasad

Baba Balak Nath’s favorite dish is Pakban Rot, because Mata Ratnon used to take Rot and Lassi to Baba Ji. When Baba Balak Nath used to work at Mata Ratno’s place to graze cows.
